Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a brief event

Jalandhar 10 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Punjab Center of Migration Studies, Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a brief event featuring eminent overseas Punjabi writer Surinder Singh Sunnar as the chief guest. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Coordinator of the center, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra welcomed Mr. Sunnar to the college and Dr. Nagra briefed the audience about his contribution to Punjabi Culture and literature. In his address, the chief guest for the occasion, Suridner Singh Sunnar expressed his gratitude towards Lyallpur Khalsa College for his literary accomplishments and his creative outcomes. He also added that his creative writing process has continued to flourish overseas due to his strong roots back in his homeland and such scenario has continued to be a part of his and literary works by other authors in USA and other foreign lands. To conclude the program, Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, PG Department of Punjabi appreciated Surinder Singh Sunnar as one of the most sensible and sophisticated writers who has spread the bright light of Punjabi Literature all over the world and that in turn has also brought laurels to Lyallpur Khalsa College. On behalf of the college, Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra honored Mr. Sunnar with a soveniour. The occasion was also witnessed by the students of the college and the staff of Punjabi Department including Dr. Harjiinder Singh Sekhon, Dr. Surinderpal Mand, Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi, Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur and Prof. Sukhraj Kaur.
