HMV students brought laurels

Jalandhar 26 February (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya participated in the competitions organized by Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.  The students participated in Folk Song, Poetry Writing, Story Writing, Quiz, Idioms Competition, Poster Making and Poem Recitation Competition.  Km. Gurkanwal Bharti won first prize in Folk Song, Km. Nishi won second prize in story writing, Km. Navdeep Kaur and Km. Ramandeep Kaur won third prize in conversation with idioms competition, Km. Gurpreet Kaur won consolation prize in Poster making competition.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the winners.  On this occasion, Head of Punjabi department Mrs. Kawaljit Kaur, Incharge Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Mrs. Kuljit Kaur and Mrs. Aruna Walia were also present.  This competition is organized every year by Punjabi Sahitya Academy in which students of affiliated colleges of Panjab University, Punjabi University and GNDU participated at Ludhiana.
