Management, teachers & students of CT flew kites together
Jalandhar 22 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Basant Panchami was celebrated at CT Group of Institutions with great fervor. The excitement of the festival was visible among the children of CT Public School as they entered the school with colourful kites. The management, students and teachers flew kites together. The teachers reminisced their yesteryears with fun and nostalgia.
Principal Mrs. Suman Rana acquainted the children with the importance of the festival. In her address to the children, she said that it was mostly a north Indian festival and was about celebrating the positivity that spring brings with it – a sense of hope. She sensitized the students teaching them tolerance towards different religions. Marking this occasion, the department of Hotel Management, CT Group of Institutions Shahpur took the blessings of Goddess Saraswati by doing Saraswati Puja.
S. Charanjit S Channi, Chairman CT Group said that there is so much more to this day, than just asking for last minute blessings. Saraswati Puja, he said, coincides with Basant Panchmi, the first day of spring and it’s also observed as the day of birth of the Goddess. He wished everyone a prosperous Basant Panchmi and celebrated the fest with school children.
