Physically Challenged Children Educated to be Self-dependent
Jalandhar 4 December (Jaswinder Azad)- One day free camp for the different abled children and their parents was organized in the Vedanta Multispecialty Hospital Jointly with the  AADDIT Charitable Trust on the world Disabled Day. Its purpose was to know the psychology of such children and to ensure a respectable place for them in the society. Mrs. Indu Chaswal , specialist in development disorder among children, special education expert Viveka Chatopadhyar, Dr. Arun Walia (Director Vedanta Hospital, Mrs. Monica Mandotra of AADIT charitable trust , Col. Mandotra, Ms. Pratishta Mandotra, Mr. Akshat Mandotra and occupational therapist Ms. Anjali Sharma were present t the camp. Mr. Vivek Chatopadhyar and Ms. Indu Chaswal , while addressing the parents, said that they should understand the child psychology and fulfil all their requirements. With an extra care, love and training such children can look after themselves and lead normal life. The speakers told that the children affected by autism can become useful citizens if imparted right kind of training. The need is to understand it and to act in the right direction. They also discussed the facilities provided by the government for such children . More than fifty families attended the camp and gained information regarding child upbringing. Parents were also told that AADIT Charitable Trust planned to start a school for special children in the near future where the emphasis will be to teach the children to become self-dependent. In the end, Mrs. Indu Chaswal offered special thanks to Dr. Arun Ahaluwalia with those active support the camp was successfully organized.
