HMV launches Radio ‘Awaaz’ on National Press Day

Jalandhar 16 November (Jaswinder Azad)- The Mass Communication and Video Production Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya launched HMV Campus Radio ‘Radio Awaaz – Awaz Se Hai Parwaaz’ on National Press Day.  Radio Awaaz was inaugurated by Eminent Punjabi Singer Manmohan Waris.  The Guest of Honour was Director All India Radio Mrs. Santosh Rishi and Special Guests were Mrs. Rishi Nagar, News Director RED FM, Canada and MD Plasma Records Sh. Deepak Bali.  On this occasion, Secretary DAV CMC Sh. Arvind Ghai, Local Committee Members Sh. S.N. Mayor, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Dr. Sushma Chawla were also present.  Mr. Manmohan Waris inaugurated Radio Awaaz and gave his best wishes for the same.  He said that this initiative will provide a big platform to the students to showcase their talent.  President DAV CMC Padamshree Dr. Punam Suri Ji extended his best wishes through telephonic conversation.  He said that with this radio, HMV has added one more feather in its cap. Sh. Arvind Ghai, Sh. S.N. Mayor, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Dr. Sushma Chawla also gave their best wishes through a live session.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that HMV believes in innovation and Radio Awaaz is a part of that.  She encouraged the students to make use of this platform and fly high in sky.  She honoured the guests with memento and shawls.  Head of Mass Communication and Video Production department Mrs. Rama Sharma said that initially two hours programme will be broadcast through Radio Awaaz on various subjects by students.  Live show was done by Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal and Mrs. Nivedita Khosla, Asstt. Prof. in Mass Comm. and Video Production.  On this occasion, Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur, Director Shamsheer Communications Pvt. Ltd., Mrs. Seema Soni, Programming Head, Radio City 91.9 FM, Deans of the college, all the teaching and non teaching staff members of the college were also present.
