DAV College organised a Two-day educational trip to Chandigarh & Kasauli

Jalandhar 22 November (Jaswinder Azad)- The Department of History under the aegis of History Association organised a Two- day educational trip to Chandigarh & Kasauli. Students of undergraduate and post graduate classes undertook the same. The excursion started with a lot of fervour & enthusiasm. On Day   1,  the students enroute saw the Bhagat Singh Memorial Museum at Khatkar Kalan, and at Chandigarh visited Punjab University, Nek Chand’s Rock Garden  and Dr Zakir Hussain Rose Garden  . The students enjoyed the visit to these places. To add to their fun they also had a gala time boating at Sukhna lake . By evening they reached Kasauli, a small hill station known for its colonial houses, orchards and green roofed Christian churches.
Next morning the students visited all the important historic landmarks in Kasauli. They were wonderstruck by the breathtaking scenic beauty .Their stay was made more comfortable by the hotel authorities .By afternoon the students began their journey back  to Jalandhar. But on their way they stopped at ,yet another historic destination ,The Yadavindra Gardens at Pinjore, where they spent nearly two hours . Finally in the evening they reached Jalandhar . Deputy Registrar & Head of the department Dr Kiranjit Randhawa, Prof Manoj Kumar(in-charge History Association), Prof Rajeshwar , Prof Neetu and Prof Diksha accompanied the trip.
