CT Public School bagged the overall trophy of Science Carnival: Vigyan Uday

  • As many as 2300 students from different 70 schools of Punjab gathered in the Mega Science Carnival. 
  • The carnival was based on ‘Digital India’ theme.
  • Students presented different science models depicting various technological aspects.
Jalandhar 13 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Striving to fulfill the underlying aim to inculcate scientific temperament among students beyond the boundaries of classrooms, CT Group of Institutions organized the mega science carnival ‘Vigyan Uday 2017’ at its Shahpur Campus on Friday. CT Public School bagged the overall trophy of Science Carnival: Vigyan Uday while MGN Public School, Urban Estate-II bagged the runners-up and Manav Sehyog School bagged the second runners-up trophy. The winning team was awarded with the prize money of Rs 21,000, Rs. 11,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively. As many as 2300 students from different 70 schools of Punjab gathered at the event. It was based on ‘Digital India’ theme. The carnival included number of events like Young Mathematician Contest, Young Scientist Contest, On the Spot Programming Contest, Quiz, Kabaad se Jugaad, Life Science & Health, Energy Conversation, Antriksh Vigyaan, Life Science & health, Art in Science and others in which more than 700 students participated.
The main highlights of the day were the models presented by the students. The models were depicting the solutions of various domestic and environmental problems. The models were highly appreciated by the experts and audience for enthralling the show. The winners of the Vigyan Uday were honoured with Saplings along with other gifts in order to raise the message to save environment on the Day of Natural Disaster Reduction Day. The event was inaugurated by S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group), Dr. G.S. Kalra (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur) in the presence of other management members, faculty and students. The dignitaries lit the lamp to declare the carnival open. Dr. G.S. Kalra (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur)thanked the participating schools for their enlightening presence. He urged the students to focus on their aim and put best of their efforts to get the extreme result in their favour.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group) thanked the dignitaries and students for their enlightening presence. He said, “Such remarkable contribution by the students through their science models and art work has truly touched my heart. I am really impressed with their contribution in making this event a big hit.
