Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar welcomed a delegation of students and teachers

Jalandhar 10 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Today with the new emerging technologies and shrinking global platform, cultural exchange program has become a necessity to incorporate diverse values and giving professional exposure to students. Taking the initiative, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar welcomed a delegation of students and teachers from Daejeon Jijok middle school, Daejeon, South Korea from 10th to 14th Oct, 2017. Aim of the program is to expose the visiting members to an intensive programme that increases their understanding of Indian Culture, Community and History. The south Korean team was given floral welcome in a traditional way with 'Dhol' and Bhangra performance. the members witnessed the special morning assembly, daily routine and also attended the classes.
Principal Mr. Girish Kumar welcomed the team & acquainted them with Indian Culture especially the rich culture of Punjab, its history and above all their spirit of hospitality. He enlightened them about the glorious history of Apeejay group and its founder Dr. Stya Paul. The entire day of the guest was spent in exchanging their experiences and ideas with the school students. As a part of their schedule, they attended Dance Classes and learned basics of Kathak and Bhangra. In Fashion designing class they learned fabric designing and block painting. To furthur enhance socio-cultural experiences, the team visited Akshardham temple in the city and a Farm House. The guest will be shown the rich heritage of Punjab by making them visit Golden Temple at Amritsar and Rock Garden at Chandigarh on 11th and 12th October respectively.
