Hindi Diwas was celebrated by Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar

Jalandhar 17 September (Jaswinder Azad)- To pay tribute to our National Language, Hindi Diwas was celebrated by Department of Hindi of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The focus of this year’s celebration was on the trends of medieval poetry. On this occasion, various literary completions like Poetry Writing, Essay Writing, Debate and Portrait Making were also organized in which students participated with full enthusiasm and exhibited their excellence in literary tastes. Mr. Vivek Verma from Department of Music (Vocal) commenced the function with Geet on Nirala, Dr. Santosh Vyas recited a poem based on the classical belief that human being is made of five elements and Mr. Satinder Manas from the Department of Physical Education recited a self composed inspirational poem which worked to ignite motivation in youngsters. Students of the college enthralled the audience with the magnificent presentation of classical dance on ‘Kabir Ke Dohe’.  Vasu Virmani from B.com presented a self composed poem and college students Divya Uppal and Riya Sharma had a debate on the burning issue of today i.e ‘If man feels still alone even after having a huge friend list on his social media accounts.’
Principal Dr. Sucharita applauded the distinguished efforts of Dr. Anjana for organizing a mega event every year in Honour of Hindi language. She said a nation’s success always depends on the respect it gives to its languages and literatures and Apeejay always contributes in this direction.
