Hindi Diwas celebrated at GNDU Media Dept.

Jalandhar 14 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus here today. Dr. Ekta  Mahajan from Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, was the resource person on the occasion. Dr. Ekta talked about the importance of Hindi Diwas and how Hindi journalism has grown over the years. She  said that Hindi is not only our national language  but is also known as GT Road  language as  wherever you commute in the country, it is Hindi which comes to your rescue. One must not have any kind of complex about Hindi or any regional language. Earlier, while welcoming the guest, Dr. Namrata Joshi, Head of the Department  said that the lack of reading  habits has led to degradation of languages .  A solution must be found to this problem. Dr. Charan Kamal Walia, Ms. Sukriti and Ms. Muskan were also present on the occasion.
