Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organize ‘Literary Fiesta’

Jalandhar 31 July (Jaswinder Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar sunk into literary tastes by organizing ‘Literary Fiesta’ by the Departments of English, Punjabi and Hindi. In this collaborative effort, 65 students of the College enthusiastically participated in Extempore, Poetry Recitation and Debate. From child labour to addiction of technological gadgets were the issues touched by the youngsters in their extempore speech. The talented students recited poetry whether self composed, anonymous or by famous poets and delighted the ears of the audience with their words and tones. The fight for words could be seen in views of students while debating on topics likes, Is there too much pressure on youngsters to have perfect bodies, do celebrities make for good role model for youngsters and what is more important talent or hard work.
Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated the winners of these literary competitions and also highly appreciated the efforts of faculty members for organizing this event. She extended her views that nowadays youngsters are getting addicted towards social media and spoiling their lives and competitions like this are the need of the hour to reignite the love for literature in youngsters.
