CT Public School Hosts Rubik 's Cube Competition

Jalandhar 31 July (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Public School hosted an Inter School Rubik's Cube Competition.  Many students participated in this competition enthusiastically.The competition was divided in four categories for different age groups i.e. classes I-V, VI-VIII, IX-X and XI-XII. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group). He congratulated the winners and awarded trophies. The first prize was awarded to Harmanjot Singh from Guru Amar Dass Public School. He took only 57 seconds to solve the puzzle. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3100, a trophy and a certificate. The second prize was bagged by Rohan of CT Public School who completed the puzzle in 1 minute, 7 seconds followed Miral Handa of Eklavya School at the third place with 1 minute, 35 seconds. They were rewarded with trophies and certificates.
Mrs. Suman Rana, Principal, addressed the participants and said that Rubik's Cube develops cognitive skills and promotes STEM, “Rubik's Cube is one of the greatest puzzle game which helps the children to think analytically and develop motor skills, “ she added. The Chief Guest, Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group) congratulated the winners and gave away the prizes. In his address, he said that the Rubik’s Cube is one of the greatest puzzle games which helps the children not only to think analytically but also develops his motor skills. He said, “There are manifold benefits of this puzzle like pleasure, optimism fun, enjoyment for starters and pride of accomplishment. It helps us to develop our skills of patience and perseverance. Solving a Rubik’s cube also teaches a great lesson of leading a happy life. We spend our whole life trying to plan our life, in all its aspects. Peace of mind, we tell ourselves, is simply a matter of weighing up the odds and making our moves.”
