Three-day Specialized Training Program on Export Documentation and Export Procedure for students of MBA

Jalandhar 17 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Students of MBA , Semester IV of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus attendedSpecialized Training Program on Export Awareness, sponsored by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India  from March 15,2017 to March 17, 2017 at EEPC office, Focal Point , Jalandhar. Ms. Pooja Bhandari, Assistant Professor, School of Business Studies was the co-ordinator for the workshop. The workshop was organised in Coordination with NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation Limited), Govt. of India. More than 50 students attended the workshop.
During this three days program, the students were made to interact with the trade facilitators from various organizations. It was a good platform for the students to upgrade their knowledge on various processes related to export, promotion of exports and the various incentives on MSMEs. Eminent officials from the same industry, motivated the students on starting their own venture and assured them of providing assistance whenever required.The Resource Persons who apprised the students with their rich experience were Regional Chairperson EEPC, Mr. Opinder Singh, Deputy Director, EEPC,  Mr. Ashwini Kumar MD Victor Tools, Mr. Tarun Sharma, Renowned Exporter, Mr. Pavittar Singh, CA, International Trade and Business, Mr. Kamal Kapoor, Business Development Manager MSIC Ltd., Mr, Sachin Verma, Manager Trade Services, ICICI Bank, Mr. Pavittar Singh, CA International Business and Trade, Mr. Sachin Verma, Manager , Trade Services, ICICI Bank.
On the first day, students were given information on the generation of IEC (Importer Exporter Code). The second day of the workshop focussed on guiding the students on Export Incentives and Documentation. The Resource Persons also assisted the students on Banking for exports by Leading Banks and Export Credit procedure and documentation. Students were also given detailed information on Customs Authorities to Facilitate Exports.
Mr. Opinder Singh acquainted the students on how to start exports from the scratch and guided them on the various processes. Mr. Kamal Kapoor, Business Development Manager NSIC Ltd., Ludhiana enlightened the students with some good schemes for budding entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.Mr. Pavittar Singh, CA, International Trade and Business, briefed the students about the various schemes for the Small, Micro and Medium Industry. He also provided details on the facilities available for the general and women entrepreneurs for taking part in International Exhibitions and delegations for export promotion. Mr, Sachin Verma, Manager Trade Services, ICICI Bank, Mr. Rajiv Soni, Deputy Manager, DGFT, Ludhiana,  Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Branch Manager, Regional Chairperson of EEPC, motivated the students to focus more on start-ups in order to create more jobs.
