HMV celebrated Organic Holi

Jalandhar 12 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Environment Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Organic Holi in the premises.  Principal Prof. Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen motivated the students to remain positive, healthy and natural.  She stressed that Holi is a festival to celebrate nature in all its hues, so the colours to be used in Holi should be natural.  She applauded the efforts of Environment Club. On this occasion, organic colours prepared by tribal woman from flowers of Rose, Cassia, Mehndi leaves, Palash were brought for staff and students of the college.  A poster making/slogan writing competition on the theme ‘Eco-friendly Holi’ was also organized.  Prabhjot got first prize, Kanupriya got second prize, Simardeep got third prize and Vaishali Rana and Anamika got consolation prizes.  The judges were Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Mrs. Cheena Gupta, Ms. Lipika.  Incharge of Environment Club Mrs. Jyoti Kaul encouraged the students to play Holi with organic colours.  Dr. Anjana Bhatia said that such endeavours which promote women empowerment and environment conservation should be promoted for a healthier planet.
