Eklavya School organizes the National Science Day

Jalandhar 28 February (Jaswinder Azad)- February 28 was designated as National Science Day (NSD) by Government of India in 1987. Since then this day is celebrated throughout the country with great enthusiasm.
Eklavya School Jalandhar every year celebrates National Science Day on 28th February to commemorate the day on which Sir C.V.Raman discovered the Raman Effect.
For National Science Day, we do many activities for Science and Technology from Primary to Senior school students.
Eklavya School organizes the National Science Day activities to these learning objectives :
•    Promote active involvement of students and teachers in science related activity.
•    Encourage students to ask questions and to get doubts cleared in different areas of science and promote their effective participation.
•    Enable students to know about the latest developments in the fields of science and technology.
•    Enhance interaction between science Educators and students.
•    Encourage scientific thinking and promote better understanding of concepts of pure science among students and teachers of high school.
•    .Convince high school students about high intellectual value of science and to develop science culture.
The event was held with the support of teachers for Popularization of Science in the theme “Biodiversity Conservation – need to protect water and wet lands”.
The students of the school presented a skit on the theme. They were praised for presenting a very scintillating programme and were advised by the teachers to plant trees, protect birds and other forms of wildlife like butterflies.
 Students of Pre primary and Primary did different experiments and demonstrated various projects of Science like Change in Colour, Optical Inversion and Balloon Tricks etc.
Middle School Students demonstrated various science experiments. The celebration also included public speech given by Ms Bhawna Bhatt on the need of protecting the environment. Senior school students spoke about the importance of science and environment education.
A debate was also organized for class 9th where they expressed their views on “Science a boon or a bane”. A very well organized quiz on science facts was organized for class 8th really attracted the audiences. Primary school students explained and presented their science models and did many more activities on electric circuits.
Mr. J.K. Gupta Chairperson Eklavya School and Ms. Seema Handa Director Eklavya School praised the teachers for their efforts to create awareness about science & environment.
Ms Sapna Bakshi Manager Eklavya School and Ms. Dimpal Sharma Principal Eklavya School advised the students to display the all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.
