Two Days Mega Exhibition ‘Diwali Carnival’ organized by CT Group of Institutions concluded on Sunday

  • The carnival was organized in association with Coca Cola, displaying more than 100 stalls at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall.
  • CT Music Society enthralls audience, sung and won applauds for their version of “Patiala Peg’ and “Laden” song.
Jalandhar 23 October (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Music Society enthralled a packed audience at the concluding day of Two Days Mega Exhibition ‘Diwali Carnival’ organized by CT Group of Institutions in association with Coca Cola with their renditions of Indian music, Punjabi songs and the foot-tapping. There was tremendous Solo Drum playing by Daniel Ngoma (Dnoy). There were Western Songs performances, Cypher, Hip Hop Pop by International Students and others. The students from Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Tanzania) and states of India (Mizoram, Sikkim, U.P, Bihar & Punjab) also performed at the event.
The carnival displaying more than 100 stalls of beautiful handicrafts and antiques of general interest. At the event, there were various food outlets from Hotels and restaurants of Jalandhar, soft and hard Beverages, Counters of Delhi and Bombay street food, Games stalls, Mechanical and manual rides and Cultural heritage of India linked to the festival of lights Diwali. Besides there was Nukkad Natak performance, music, entertainment, Parrot Readers, Bio-scope etc.
The carnival kicked off on Saturday where the students from Prayas School inaugurated the event and made their presence felt.  At the first day, LIVE Performance by the Sufi Singer Duo- Nooran Sisters, they left city residents spell bound with their performance. The carnival was the collective effort of the students of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) under the guidance of their Faculty members.
Dr. Rohit Sarin (Director, CT Institute of Hotel Management) said that Other than academics, students have special talents to further shine at the national and international level. So, our institutions always make sure to devise out such events to motivate such extraordinary students to excel. Diwali Carnival is providing the students plenty of healthy competitive opportunities to showcase their innovativeness in almost all areas. Such platforms inculcate a true competitive spirit among students.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) appreciated the efforts of the students, he said, “Such events made them to learn the ability to stand out and get the experience of practical working in the field that will definitely help them to grow in life.”
